I'm at a loss. I initially selected Cross Country as my shipping country but changed my mind after reading the reviews here and reading the contract they sent me. You don't get a 2 star rating for being a good company. I selected another company with a five star rating after receiving Cross Country's contract and finding that they were a broker, not a carrier. I told them I would NOT be shipping with them. Did that stop them? HAHHAAHAHA, no. They charged my credit card the deposit despite me telling them I would not use them less than 24 hours after contacting them. I recontacted them again after they charged my credit card and told them that I was not using them. Did that register? Nope.

Today, I receive a call at work from a trucking company telling me that they're ready to pick up my Jeep. Strange considering I haven't mailed the check to my carrier yet. Stranger still, my car is going to Long Beach, CA not San Diego. Turns out Cross Country SCHEDULED A PICK UP DESPITE MY FIRING THEM. So not only did they waste my time but that of a shipper too. I explained to the trucking company what had happened and, to their credit, they were quite good about it. I couldn't even get a hold of some one at Cross Country to tell them what they'd done.

My advice: STAY AWAY!!! Cross Country sucks big time. I'm so glad I didn't give them my Jeep. If you choose to trust the shipment of your car with these people after reading this review and all the others then you deserve exactly what you get from them.

Cross Country Auto Transport contract states that if customer wants to cancel they have to do it 7 business before and 7 business days after the "estimated pick up dates" and therer has to be a certified letter stating that the customer would like to cancel there move. Cross Country AUto Transport is one of the largest moving companies around the nation. We apologize for any inconvienences that this may have brought to you and your family.
