After having a nightmare of an experience with AAAutomovers and Ralph Bienavidas, (see reviews for AAAutomovers), I did the smart thing and narrowed down my search for a transport company to the one with the most recent excellent reviews from this site. The heavens were shining on me the day that I called and spoke to Crystal about moving my vintage Mercedes from Los Angeles to Birmingham. I must say I was rather jaded from my first experience and gave her a hard time about about most everything, but through all my questions and bad attitude, Crystal remained calm and professional and flat won me over! She kept me in the loop the entire time and I knew exactly where my car was instead of taking my money and disappearing into cyberspace. And that's another plus; MCM only bills your credit card AFTER they have physically picked up your car! AAAutomovers processed my card BEFORE they even arranged for a transport to pick up my car. They also didn't reverse the charge even though they never picked up my car, I had to dispute it through my credit company! The other concern I had was that the transporter be insured licensed and covered in case something happened to my car in route. If you read some of the other reviews on different companies it seems pretty clear that most brokers drop you like a hot muffler when they have charged your card and if something happens to your vehicle, its not their problem. MCM and Crystal KNOW their drivers and routinely check their papers. Its not a done deal until your baby is nestled into your garage and you are satisfied. My driver was Berry the owner of Sherwood Trucking and he was the best of the best. He was polite, articulate and actually answered his phone when I called. His truck was new and clean and he even jumped off my car because the battery had died in transit. (Ain't it always the way...) I know he was tired and ready to get home but he drove extra hours to get my car to me when he promised. Gosh, what else can I say about these people; Crystal, you are wonderful and go above and beyond to do a great job. And Berry: Thank you for delivering my dream car in perfect condition and on time. Use MCM and Crystal and you won't be disappointed. Terry Hofammann
