| Really let me down |
The reviews on here were good, so I picked United Road. Unfortunately, I absolutely struggled with getting any service from them at all. They left me a voicemail that they needed me to call them 3 days after I placed the order online. I returned their call within an hour, but they did not call me back by the end of the day. I then called and asked for their general dispatch number, but again, they never called. I also emailed their leadership group, but got no response. I gave it a total of 48 hours and called one evening, getting ahold of the guy that had left the original voicemail, but never returned either of my voicemails I left him. You could even tell he realized that he hadn't returned my call as he asked for the year, make, and model of my car. ALL of this information was on the quote form and I was literally looking at their online quote screen when he asked for information I was staring at on their website. Right then, I knew I was in really, really big trouble and had made a major mistake in choosing them. I made a couple of calls to another person there, but after waiting 11 days and they still could not even tell me when it would be picked up, I realized that this wasn't going to work. They also told me that the "bid" for my transport was on the board and looked adequate, so someone would pick it up. Until that point, it wasn't clear that they were a broker, but at that point it was crystal clear. I then called and left a voicemail cancellilng more order, faxed their customer service area to cancel, and emailed their leadership to cancel. It's been 6 days since I cancelled and they still have not reversed the charge on my credit card, even though an email to their leadership email 3 days ago prompted them to email back that it would be taken care of.
I sincerely hope that others have a better result, but I will NEVER use them again. Others are slightly more expensive, but at least you won't have the headaches and lack of service.
